Rotary Technology

Embellish packaging with rotary technology

Packaging is an important part of the marketing mix, reflecting the value of the product. Thanks to rotary technology, it is possible to embellish packaging at speeds of up to 20 cycles per second, making this process ideal for the high-volume production of labels, shrink sleeves, and security packaging.

Precision Engineering for Premium Results

Embellished packaging detail produced with CHEETAH rotary technology

High frequency motion for sustainable embellishment

Pantec’s rotary technology runs with up to 20 cycles per second. Foil, lenses or 3D images are placed individually in register with hardly any waste in between. This high moving frequency is only possible thanks to the unique Pantec vacuum foil motion technology and the precise, dynamic servo control used.

CHEETAH HMI

Designed for ease of use

The intuitive, user-friendly HMI makes it easy for operators to run a CHEETAH®. The operating system is designed to support daily operations. Features include:

  • A foil test run mode allowing the user to set up the CHEETAH® without stopping the printing machine
  • Automatic calculation of optimal foil moving pattern, based on the design
  • Job data storage
  • Process-optimised servo control to ease foil release

The CHEETAH® can be accessed remotely, enabling Pantec to provide fast and easy support. Whether you need assistance with setting up the next job or resolving a technical issue, Pantec support is only a click away.

One generic single image foil for all repeats

Pantec’s rotary embellishment systems can individually place and position foils, lenses and 3D images in register.
This means that the same foil can be used for any repeat length.

Comparison of conventional foil application versus Pantec rotary single-image foil
Conventional technology: One specific foil for each label repeat length — high waste
  • No foil saving possible — foiling cost high
  • Frequent foil changes — frequent machine stops
  • Slow in register — high substrate waste
  • Several SKUs — high logistics cost
Pantec’s rotary technology: One generic foil for all repeats — low waste — sustainable
  • Maximum foil saving — low foil cost
  • Fewer foil changes — fewer machine stops
  • Fast in register — low substrate waste
  • One SKU only — low logistics cost

CHEETAH® N 570

CHEETAH N 410 / N 570 narrow-web rotary hot foil stamping machine

The CHEETAH® N can replace the unwinder and rewinder of a press manufacturer’s hot foil module using the existing stamping unit, or it can be equipped with Pantec’s own rotary hot foil unit. Designed for narrow web presses, it provides high-quality embellishments at fast production speeds.
