Hot Stamping Tool —
more than only a tool

According to research, most purchasing decisions are made subconsciously and are driven by feelings.
The appearance and feel of a product influence the impression it creates on consumers. Hot foil stamping and embossing offer a wide variety of options for evoking an emotional and engaging response.

Designers, brand owners, converters, finishers and decorators can choose from a range of blind embossing and hot stamping technologies and features, as well as a variety of effects. Embossing, debossing, patterns, textures and special effects can make products look exceptionally valuable. Combining these options creates an almost infinite number of design possibilities for distinctive, unique products.

Flatbed Hot Stamping Tool

Flat Foiling

The best metallic effects are achieved through a process involving heat transfer and impression. During this process, ultra-thin metal particles are transferred from a carrier foil to the substrate. The carrier foil can then be rewound and recycled. Metallic effects achieved through heat transfer provide a sharp finish and are primarily used on premium substrates. This technology is available in a wide variety of colours.
As the most basic type of hot foil application, flat foiling can be used in a variety of ways. Whether your design consists of areas, logos, symbols or other delicate patterns, flat foiling will add an elegant touch to your product.
The stamping remains on the surface of the printed material, with effects created by the contrast between the glossy foil elements and the matte material. The paper or cardstock itself remains unchanged, with the focus placed solely on the visual effect.

Foil Embossing

Combination stamping can be used to match the existing print image and highlight parts of your motif with a tactile element. When combined with micro-embossing, nano-embossing or textures, it provides even more design options, enabling you to create a unique product.
A combination hot stamping tool is used to create the relief in the paper’s surface and transfer the foil at the same time. This eliminates the need for a work step compared to flat embossing followed by blind embossing, and removes the need for fit tolerances. The cutting edges of the embossing tool also produce sharp embossed details.
Transferring your design into a multi-level stamping tool makes it possible to incorporate different levels of detail into the development process. The tool supplier will work with you to achieve your desired level of detail. The image shows a design with different levels. Before we begin production of the stamping tool, they can create a 3D preview for your final approval. This will give you an idea of what your motif will look like when embossed or stamped.

Texture Embossing

Texture stamping creates an impressive tactile effect. When combined with additional visual impact, it delivers unique results. The stamping tool, which is engraved with a texture, embosses or debosses the embellished material. This moulds the paper into a three-dimensional shape.
Textures can be stamped both with or without a hot stamping foil. In combination with other types of stamping, like flat foiling or relief embossing, you can create a true work of art.
Textures create elegant, pronounced, or understated symmetrical or asymmetrical effects. Use it to add a refined accent to your products. Texture stamping can be integrated as a stand-alone element in your design, or combined in the same stamping die with other embossing effects.

Micro Embossing

Extremely fine patterns on the stamping tool change the surface of the hot foil. When the product is viewed at different angles, the fascinating play of light and shadow creates a reflection that generates impressive visual effects. The stamped material itself is not changed by this application technology.
Full-surface motifs can be easily covered with a wide range of delicate micro-embossing patterns. You can embellish a single element in your design, or combine it with other stamping effects like flat stamping, nano-embossing, or relief.

Nano-Embossing

Products with a unique ‘wow’ factor grab attention. If you are impressed by fine micro-embossing effects, you will be inspired by nano-embossing. This technique enables the creation of textures that are up to 40% finer, as well as other effects that cannot be matched by any other embossing technology.
It delivers astounding results and is the perfect way to add a unique highlight to your products.

Lenticular

Nano-embossing can be used to create razor-sharp lenticular effects. Lenticular stamping involves two images that become visible or disappear depending on the viewing angle. This is achieved using just a single stamping tool. The creative possibilities are endless. Make your product stand out! We can help you wow your target audience.

Blind Embossing

Haptic effects are achieved by three-dimensional deformation of the substrate. This process involves using an embossing tool and a counter-pressure plate, which are closed under high pressure at temperatures between 40°C and 60°C. The longer the dwell time, the more permanent the deformation. However, blind embossing appeals not only to the sense of sight, but also to the sense of touch. It gives your product a unique, high-value appearance.
